The general had on a checkered shirt, khakis, and gleaming brown loafers. Victoria had a light brown sweater over her white blouse, blue jeans, and moccasins. Lastra always had his air conditioner at full blast and whenever she was asked to present herself at his office, she put on the sweater. It was Wednesday, April 24.
